Keep technical checks in view.
Site Monitor maintains a local website list and checks robots.txt and sitemap.xml on a schedule. It brings recurring technical checks into one application rather than requiring each file to be opened separately.
Scope of my work
Independent monitoring tool
Website list and local data storage
HTTP status and content validation
Sitemap XML validation
Scheduled checks
Technical implementation
Node.js and Electron provide the technical foundation. Desktop and browser modes use the same local application. Checks cover HTTP status, content and the XML structure of the sitemap.
Results are kept in the context of the website list. The application does not replace a full SEO audit or comprehensive uptime monitoring. Its documented scope is scheduled validation of these technical files and local management of the results.
